What this page will do after launch

Every copy of the kit will show an edition number and last authoritative review date. This page will state whether that edition is current, whether an update is available, and whether a policy change materially affects the guidance. The story and methodology should remain useful for years; version-sensitive requirements will be updated separately instead of silently going stale.

Never use an archived compliance document because a guide linked to it years ago. Texas DPS maintains a current documents page and separately labels historical resources as not current for compliance purposes.
